Privacy policy

1. Who is responsible

LausnaNet ehf., Suðurgata 11, Tjarnabyggð, 801 Selfoss, Iceland, is the controller of personal data collected through lausnanet.is. Contact: info@lausnanet.is. This policy concerns the website, enquiries and meeting bookings under Icelandic Act No. 90/2018 and the GDPR as incorporated into the EEA Agreement.

2. Enquiries and bookings

Our contact form receives your name, email address, optional company name, selected service interests and message. Booking a meeting also involves the selected date, time, time zone and any description you provide. Private booking links allow you to manage your meeting; keep them confidential.

We use these details to respond to requests, arrange and manage meetings, send related notifications and take steps at your request before a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Where you give consent for a separate purpose, the basis is Article 6(1)(a). Essential service security and abuse prevention are based on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)). Cookie consent is separate from sending an enquiry or making a booking.

3. Website analytics and consent

When enabled and only with your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), Google Analytics 4 processes page views, engagement, approximate geography, traffic sources, campaign categories, device/browser information, pseudonymous identifiers and interaction events. We use these to understand which content leads to enquiries and bookings.

We do not send names, email addresses, phone numbers, company names, message contents, meeting details, booking references or access tokens in our Analytics events. Page addresses sent by our integration exclude query strings and fragments. Only restricted campaign labels may be sent separately. This does not make Analytics data anonymous.

You can refuse analytics and continue to use the website, contact form and booking service. Withdraw consent through Cookie settings. Withdrawal applies to future collection and does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. Advertising features and Google signals are disabled.

4. Browser storage

We remember your cookie choice for 180 days and your selected colour theme until you clear it or choose the system theme. Optional Analytics cookies last up to one year under our configuration. See the cookie policy for the inventory and controls.

5. Recipients and international transfers

Authorised LausnaNet personnel and providers supporting website hosting, email delivery and meeting administration may process enquiry and booking information to provide these services. We do not sell personal data.

If you accept analytics, Google Ireland Limited and its service providers process Analytics information. Processing may take place outside the EEA, including in the United States. 6. Retention

Contact enquiries are retained for up to two years, unless ongoing correspondence or legal obligations require longer. Booking information is retained as needed to manage the meeting and related correspondence, subject to applicable legal requirements.

Analytics cookie lifetimes do not determine how long Google retains report data. The event and user-data retention period is controlled by our GA4 property settings; aggregated reports can be retained longer. Contact info@lausnanet.is for the current retention setting or to request deletion.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing. You may withdraw consent at any time. Contact info@lausnanet.is to exercise your rights. You can complain to Persónuvernd, the Icelandic Data Protection Authority, at personuvernd.is.

8. Security and policy changes

We use technical and organisational measures to protect information and restrict access to those who need it. Please avoid sending sensitive information that is not needed for your enquiry. We publish policy changes here with an updated date.
